Locked Achievements Gallery Moves to Little Village Library!
Stomping Grounds Literary Arts Initiative’s first gallery of work is moving to a new residency at the Chicago Public Library in Little Village!
We are so excited for you to experience the incredible creative work made by our young people who are currently facing incarceration. The gallery opening will take place on Saturday, September 13, from 12–4 PM, and will include:
• Refreshments
• Performances by our students
• An “I Know My Rights” workshop
Then on Thursday, September 25, from 5–7 PM, join us again for a special Open Mic Night featuring Poet-turned-hip-hop artist Linda Sol — a rising star from Chicago’s West Side whose genre-fluid production and lyrical precision have earned her stages alongside artists like 2 Chainz, Dreezy, Jamila Woods, Glorilla, and more.

The gallery will be up through the first week of December — so there’s plenty of time to stop by, reflect, and celebrate the voices of our youth.
