The essays are by critics including Lauren Ashley Deland, writer for Art in America, Sarah Krepp, Professor Emerita, University of Illinois, and Robin Dluzen, a perceptive Chicago writer/artist. There are over 100 color plates in four sections. Each section is prefaced by personal commentary.
