Oscar Arriola (b. Chicago) is a photographer, curator, zine maker and staff member of the Chicago Public Library. He studied photojournalism at Columbia College Chicago and has photographed for various publications. He has shown photo and installation work at the Chicago Cultural Center, Co-Prosperity Sphere, Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, Elephant Room Gallery, Galerie F, and Reed Space NYC. He is a co-organizer of the annual ZINEmercado zine fest and the organizer of FOTOmercado, an all photography zine, book and print fest. He curated the recent Akito Tsuda – Pilsen Days, photo exhibition for the Chicago Public Library and, with Nicole Marroquin, curated, Diana Solis: Encuentros, Photographs of Chicago Poetry Communities, 1978 – 1994 for the Poetry Foundation.
