Emeka Ogboh Lecture
@ The Art Institute of Chicago
Fullerton Hall, 111 S. Michigan Ave.
Opening Tuesday, March 11th, from 6PM - 7:30PM
Join us in person for a lecture by artist Emeka Ogboh followed by an audience Q&A.
Emeka Ogboh is an artist whose practice engages places through a multisensory approach, incorporating sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch. His installations and culinary projects weave sensory elements into transformative experiences, reinterpreting private, public, and collective memories. Ogboh’s work explores themes of migration, globalization, and post-colonialism, examining how sensory perception shapes our connection to the world. Recently, he expanded into music, debuting with the album Beyond the Yellow Haze on the label A-TON.
Presented in partnership with Goethe-Institut Chicago and SAIC’s Department of Art and Technology / Sound Practices
