This gallery conversation recognizes Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by revisiting the monumental “Letter from Birmingham Jail.” Using Dr. King’s words as a guide to interpret artworks in the collection, we will explore the many meanings of justice, resistance, and faith.

Prepare for the conversation by reading (or re-reading) the influential letter here.
