Pinko Magazine + Queer Palestine with Eman Abdelhadi
@ Pilsen Community Books
1102 W 18th St, Chicago, IL 60608
Opening Tuesday, September 3rd, from 7PM - 8PM
We’re excited to welcome Max Fox, Eman Abdelhadi, and Ariel Ajeno to the store for an event in celebration of Pinko Magazine’s latest issue and their newest book, Queer Palestine. Authors will read selections from their contributions to Pinko’s third print magazine issue, as well as discuss Queer Palestine, a new title published by Pinko. Guest edited and designed by a group of queer Palestinian comrades, proceeds from this collection of queer Palestinian art, writing, and interviews will go directly to support queer Palestinians surviving the genocide in Gaza.
Max Fox is a writer and translator and a founding editor of Pinko magazine.
Ariel Ajeno is a writer and sex educator in Chicago.
Eman Abdelhadi is an academic, organizer and writer based in Chicago. She is an assistant professor and sociologist at the University of Chicago and co-author of Everything for Everyone: An Oral History of the New York Commune, 2052-2072, a sci-fi novel published in 2022 with Common Notions Press. She organizes with Salon Kawakib, Faculty & Staff for Justice in Palestine at UChicago and other formations.
