Join us for this daylong sonic journey as we celebrate The Godfather of House Music and share the liberatory power of House music. Continuing our ongoing programs activating the Frankie Knuckles Collection through house music parties and dialogic, cinematic moments of reflection on Frankie’s legacy, this year’s lineup will lead us rhythmically in the celebration of our bodies, our collective joy, and our loving fellowship.

This year, under the curatorial direction of trailblazing house music DJ Celeste Alexander, we are thrilled to honor Frankie through a lineup of Chicago’s hottest emerging and established House DJs.

Why is there a ticket price this year?

It’s a privilege to welcome a community of over 600 people to the gardens in celebration of House music each month, and it is a tremendous honor to keep our programming accessible to our community. We want to maintain the spirit of this openness, so all proceeds from this year’s festival will support the continuation of Rebuild’s house music programming.

It takes a significant investment to staff, clean, and preserve our spaces while supporting the artists who lead these programs. We are deeply grateful that there has been significantly increased demand for these programs. We are making this necessary change in order to create a safe and comfortable environment for all who attend and to ensure we are able to sustain these programs.

Kenwood Gardens Event Guidelines

As always, we kindly ask that you read and respect the following guidelines for attending programs at Kenwood Gardens.

No grills or cooking allowed
One lawn chair and one bag/cooler allowed per person
Smoking is prohibited
No pets allowed – Service animals welcome
No professional photography and videography equipment allowed

The Frankie Knuckles Collection

Rebuild is the proud steward of the Frankie Knuckles Collection – an archive comprised of objects, ephemera and the late Godfather of House Music’s personal vinyl collection – made possible by our partnership with the Frankie Knuckles Foundation.

We have recently digitized the entire record collection, with support from the Mellon Foundation, bringing us one step closer to making the contents of Frankie’s personal archive more accessible to the public. Through our archival work, we are committed to preserving and amplifying Black music, cultural histories, and Frankie’s legacy.
