CAMOC invites you to join us to celebrate the Seventh Evening Festival: Chinese Valentine’s Day – All My Love. The special offsite event will be held at Comfort Station, featuring an exclusive showcase of our museum’s collection of love letters, photographs, and CAMOC oral histories archive.
The program will include a variety of side activities including:
Karaoke – Sing for Love
Chinese fortune-telling poems by Ji Yang
A matchmaking corner
Love note writing corner
Traditional natural-dye nail art station.
All are welcome, whether you have a lover, are looking for a lover(s), or are a lover. Come and have fun celebrating the joy and romance of Chinese Valentine’s Day in conjunction with La Casa de Todos/ Everyone’s Home.
*The Qixi Festival (July 7th on the lunar calendar) is also celebrated by other countries, including Japan, Korea, and Vietnam.
This program is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Terra Foundation for American Art, and is part of Art Design Chicago, a citywide collaboration initiated by the Terra Foundation that highlights the city’s artistic heritage and creative communities.
