Teresa Baker constructs abstract, mixed media paintings that evoke the vast landscapes of the Northern Plains where she grew up. Utilizing materials that indicate a wide scope of reference, Baker looks to artificial turf, buckskin, willow, buffalo hide, and parfleche (dried and stretched hide) to make works both explicit in their commentary and experimental in their approach. Join Baker and Arts Club Chief Curator Janine Mileaf for a discussion on the exhibition.
