Nat Strickland (they/them), performing under the moniker Butt Mommy, is currently based in Chicago. They began experimenting with effects in 2011 in noise and punk bands, and one-off solo projects in Virginia. After a long hiatus, they now use effected viola, vox, samples, hand percussion & synth to create an interactive, meditative sense of melancholy.

Cairns is the moniker of guitarist Duncan Reilly, who also performs in the bands Boundary Waters, Glorybringer, and Orlando. He refers to his improvisational guitar work as “chamber noise,” finding beauty and structure in overlapping guitar loops and textures.

The solo recording project of Joe Cavaliere, music teacher and drummer (Pet Peeves, Bimbo Rococo, Legs, The Gold Dust). Springboard’s releases range from cartoonish tape collages to rhythmic minimalism. Most recently, he released 2021’s Midwest Radiator Sessions on Structures Without Purpose, a noise tape constructed around samples of his radiator. Joe lives in Humboldt Park, Chicago.
