LIFE CYCLES

Saturday February 3rd – 12pm
With Artist Natalia Villanueva Linares and students who contributed in the curatorial process of the exhibition

DePaul Art Museum’s exhibition “Life Cycles” curated by Ionit Behar, opened this past fall 2023, it includes artworks from the museum’s permanent collection in conversation with contemporary Chicago artists who are not yet represented in the collection. With more than 50 artists.

Behar describes how the exhibition explores life without a linear structure, but instead “a marvelous tangle, where there is no beginning or end, where death is not the opposite of life, nor the truth or fulfillment of it.”

Natalia Villanueva Linares, a French artist of Peruvian origin was invited to participate in the show. On this occasion, she presents an installation and a series of pieces resulting from a participatory performance she presented in September 2023 at the Museum.

The exhibition will run until February 11, 2024. Admission is free.
