Greyout is the solo Ambient/Drone project for multi-instrumentalist Chris Puente located in Chicago, IL. Playing music all his life, he began experimenting with sound over a decade ago but never had much come to fruition. He spent much of his spare time focusing on his band, Made Entirely of Wires (MEoW) with Catie Olson and Sean DeSantis. It wasn’t until 2020 when we were all stuck indoors that he really began to take Greyout more seriously, using it as a vessel to channel all the isolation, loneliness, and the general weirdness of the times into his music. In 2021 he put out his first self-released solo album as Greyout entitled This Veil. He’s currently still working with MEoW, as well as Skeleton Crew (a project with trumpet player Alex Massa), and he is also working to release a new album this coming spring.
Blood Pact Scout is an ambient/drone/[intense ethereal whooshing] project from Matt Kistler, who plays drums/keys/whatever’s needed in a few bands around Chicago. Originally serving as a catch-all for anything vaguely experimental, blood pact scout has settled into a sound that is aspirationally emo ambient but is maybe more accurately labeled as new age for pessimists.
Otto Rollo is the Chicago-based music project of David Seeber. Otto Rollo’s ambient, down-tempo experiments explore the sonic space between waking life and the dream world. After ten releases across labels like Sunup Recordings, Swan City Sounds, Illuminated Paths, Singapore Sling Tapes, and Dark Circles Records, Otto Rollo continues to jump from one genre and inspiration to the next in an attempt never to stop growing and trying new things. Outside of Otto Rollo, David collaborates on several projects: Otto Green, Slow Talk, and I See It All. He is an avid unicycle rider and pickle maker.
