Weatherproof is excited to present Meeting, a two-person show from Al Svoboda and Ben K. Voss.
Comprising of wall sculptures and floor drawings, Meeting is at the behest of the cycle of the sun and the passing of time. Reversing the traditional presentations of those modes of making tells a story of a room pillaged and left to rot, of papers ripped off their shelves. Voss’ cryptic drawings might imply a wellspring of knowledge underneath them which is inaccessible to us, of a bygone era, whose fragments we stumble upon in a lightless room. The shelves they might have once occupied are fabricated with simple, modular components that obey some formal logic – Svoboda’s works, which functioned in this way in previous iterations, are now empty vessels.

Opens 11/11 from 12-5, with adjusted open hours every Saturday 1-4pm due to the nature of the exhibition. Closes 12/10.
