Allow the ASMR hair sounds to caress your senses, creating a blissful state of relaxation. The soft spoken rest affirmations will gently guide you towards deep rejuvenation and self-empowerment, fostering a sense of inner harmony and well-being. With the enchanting music meditation, you’ll find yourself effortlessly drifting into a state of serenity, where stress melts away, and the mind finds solace in the healing power of sound.
Please wear comfortable clothing and something to lay on such as a yoga mat or blanket.

This is a free event. There are space limitations. There is one ticket per person and the ticket is needed to guarantee entry. Parking is available in the outdoor lot at the corner of E. 60th street and Drexel Ave. Enter on 60th St.
About Tricia Hersey:
Tricia has 20 years of experience as a teaching artist, archivist assistant, community activist, and arts-integrated curriculum developer with Chicago Public Schools, Columbia College Chicago, Steppenwolf Theatre, United States Peace Corps, Emory University Rare Books and Manuscript Library, and numerous community organizations and universities in nationwide.
Hersey has exhibited artworks, delivered talks, and created collective napping experiences with School of the Art Institute Chicago, MOCA Cleveland, Speed Museum, Flux Projects, United States Peace Corps, Google Global, MIT, Brown University, and many more.
Her words and work have been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, PlayBoy, Afropunk, The Atlantic, Complex Magazine, Dutch Vogue, NPR All Things Considered, USA Today, Bon Appetit, and others. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. About Shani Crowe:
Shani Crowe is an interdisciplinary artist who received her BFA in film production from Howard University’s John H. Johnson School of Communications in 2011. Her work centers on cultural coiffure, adornment and beauty ritual, as they relate to the diasporic African, and how these practices function as tools to foster connectivity. She is most known for creating intricate corn-rowed hairstyles, then capturing them as large photographic portraits. Shani’s is part of the ensemble selected to represent the US in the Venice Architecture Biennale, her work and performances have been featured at the Broad in Los Angeles, on Saturday Night Live in collaboration with Solange Knowles, the Museum of Contemporary African and Diasporan Art (MoCADA), in Brooklyn, NY, the Urban Institute of Contemporary Art, in Grand Rapids, MI, Columbia University, and Soho House Chicago. She lives and works on Chicago’s south side. Learn more.
