In honor of #AAPIMonth, the South Asia Institute and the Guild Literary Complex present TAKING ROOT, an exploration, and celebration of our roots through the media of poetry, literature, music, and art.
Poetry Reading moderated by Faisal Mohyuddin, featuring poets George Abraham, Czaerra Galicinao Ucol, Samina Hadi-Tabassum, and Saba Keramati.
Music by Maninder Singh (founding member, Funkadesi, multi-instrumentalist, percussionist, producer, founder, IO Records).
The event will take place at 1925 S Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL, 60616 from 1 PM – 5 PM CDT. *Food and Refreshments will be provided at the venue!
