Jackie Andres’s debut solo show “Inangbayan / Motherland” is showcased by AIRMW’s Arts Initiative Program.

The exhibition explores the theme of the ‘inbetween’ and the struggle for personal acceptance in the Asian American diaspora through moving images and print media. Andres reflects on the fragmented idea of ‘home’ through memory and storytelling, including vocal inheritances, food, language, and Super 8 footage. The exhibition emphasizes the importance of self-reflection in the search for cultural belonging.
