@ ENGAGE Projects
864 N Ashland Ave, Chicago, IL 60622
Opening Saturday, May 13th, from 1PM - 2PM
In recognition of May as Mental Health Awareness month, ENGAGE Director Jennifer Armetta will moderate “A Conversation about Mental Illness and Creativity” with Adam Daley Wilson and Kelly Mathews at the gallery on Saturday, May 13th from 1:00 – 2:00pm.
Daley Wilson and Mathews will discuss making work that is an expression of their visceral experiences with bipolar disorder, the stigma surrounding mental illness, and what it means to convey their experiences with mental illness in a way that transcends a medical diagnosis. The talk will be followed by a performance by Daley Wilson, in which he’ll continue his personal writing system painting live in front of an audience. Stop by for the artist talk and view Daley Wilson’s work in person!
