Opening Saturday, April 22nd, from 3:30PM - 5PM
On view through Saturday, April 22nd
Join us on Saturday, April 22 at 3:30 p.m. in the Catacombs for an artist talk with Sarah Krepp, Olivia Petrides, and Michelle Stone!
This artist talk will take place within the joint exhibitions “DOUBLE/FORCE” by Sarah Krepp and Olivia Petrides and “gather-seize”by Michelle Stone to close out their run at Epiphany Center for the Arts.
In “DOUBLE/FORCE,” Petrides and Krepp both reference turbulent atmospheres and tangled social workings, thus posing questions about the relationship between human action and nature’s limitations.
In “gather-seize,” Michelle Stone embraces ambiguity, enigma and the shadow side of how an artist creates. Having grown up in a family of artists and freaks, these things feel familiar to Stone, and are concepts she revisits throughout her work. Stone has spent her art life creating paintings and sculptures that question the human condition about what all nature shares in common: growth, transformation, and decay.
