21c Museum Hotel Chicago is honored to collaborate with Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP) on this month’s Curator Conversation. MoCP’s Photography Curator of Academic Programs & Collections, Kristin Taylor will be in conversation with artist Guanyu Xu 徐冠宇who currently has work on view in MoCP’s exhibition Beyond the Frame curated by Taylor spotlighting MoCP’s permanent collection of more than 16,500 works as a rich resource for harnessing visual literacy skills.
Curator Conversations at 21c Museum Hotel Chicago is a bimonthly series that asks a local art curator to chat with an artist of their choice with ties to the Chicago arts community. Each month those pairing switch up to give viewers a look into the rich arts community in the city.
Join Museum of Contemporary Photography and 21c Museum Hotel Chicago for this free program on Friday, October 14th at 6:30pm. A wine reception to follow (7:30-8:30pm). Free and open to the public.
