The 2022 Beverly Art Walk presented by The Beverly Area Arts Alliance.
The Beverly Arts Center is proud to participate in the 2022 Beverly Art Walk, happening September 17th, 12-5 pm. The event will showcase the people and places that make Beverly/Morgan Park amazing! The art and music packed day will celebrate the neighborhood’s unique cultural assets, including the Beverly Arts Center, Vanderpoel Art Association, Ridge Historical Society, the Paul & Jean Harris Home (aka “The Rotary House”), the Beverly Branch of the Chicago Public Library, and a diverse selection of local artists’ home studios and other venues throughout the neighborhood.
The free, family-friendly event will feature more than 150 artists, the return of the popular Uprising Craft Market—featuring more than 30 makers and artisans—the Family Fun Park at Sutherland in conjunction with Sutherland’s I Madonnari street painting festival, a food court, and live public art activations.
The Beverly Arts Center will feature numerous exhibitions and experiences throughout the day including:
• The Best Side exhibition in the Simmerling Gallery and a live painting demo by Best Side artist Hollie Davis.
• An exhibition of paintings, photography, sculpture and music by SXU students, faculty, staff and alumni in the Atrium and West hallway.
• Local artists on display throughout the hallways and galleries of the BAC, including: Matthew Coglianese, Jeff Matz, Elizabeth Schnura, James Ross, Brian Heston, Matthew Dicks, Amanda Konkol, Libby Alexander and the BAC’s own glass fusion teaching artist Kat Huddleston.
