Spaysky Fine Art Gallery LLC at Good Weather, Volume II: Jim Chatelain, Nastassia Kotava, Alivia Zivich is a group show organized by Dylan Spaysky within a facsimile of the artist’s eponymously named Detroit-based gallery located on the fourth floor at Good Weather in Chicago, and presented in conjunction with the artist’s solo exhibition “Reflections” on the first floor. Alivia Zivich’s ghostly removed imagery interacts on the walls with Jim Chatelain’s bodily and mechanical paintings punctuated on the floor with a single sculpture by Nastassia Kotava. Images dispossessed through hand and technology into a heightened new reality. Abstracts that crackle with life, evoking constant chemical reactions. And vomit.
