Hope Wang and Micah Sweezie both meditate on manual labour, repetitive activity, and rituals of place-making. By meticulously re-crafting manufactured and industrial products, the two artists trace the imprint of human labour and reference broader realities of material histories. Together, they present artifacts of malleability, where taking the shape of another object often requires one to first bend into it.
