This coming Thursday, January 13th from 6PM — 9PM, we will be welcoming a number of artists from the Chicago based pottery studio The Digs! Zoe Minzenberger will be doing live throwing to give our guests a look into how pottery is made! Zoe is a ceramic artist and curator based in Chicago, and co-founder of The Digs. Zoe graduated with a Bachelors of Art in Visual Critical Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Spring 2020. Her recent work explores the effect that ceramic objects have on the formation of habit.
We will also be showing a number of pieces made by members of The Digs which will all be for sale! The Digs is a nonprofit ceramic studio that acts to fulfill a supportive role for Chicagoland artists. For more information, you can visit their website! https://www.thedigschicago.com/
