ARTIST BIOS
Brian Lindgren is a working violist and composer based in New York City. As a violist, he has performed with groups such as Alarm Will Sound and recorded for Tyondai Braxton (Warp Records), RA The Rugged Man (Nature Sounds), and Joe Phillips (New Amsterdam Records) among others. As a composer, his music has been performed world-wide as a winner of the Vox Novus 60×60 competition, featured in the 2021 Earth Day Art Model festival hosted by Indiana Purdue University, and will be part of the upcoming June 2021 New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival. Lindgren is currently finishing an MFA from Brooklyn College in Sonic Arts and will join the University of Virginia PhD program in Composition and Computer Technologies in the fall of 2021. He holds a BA from the Eastman School of Music in viola performance where he studied with John Graham.
The CEAC trio is a group formed by Isaac Matus, Andrés León and Francois Deville. They have been performing together since the beginning on 2021, covering a wide span of electronic explorations, from experimental interpretations of different scores —both from themselves and others composers like Pauline Oliveros, Wadada Leo Smith and John Cage— to free form improvisations. The group will perform ‘Cruising’, a conceptual graphic score written by Andrés León, focused on the relationship with space and the objects within it.
Drummer, songwriter, producer Howard Alper, aka $YNDRM, has long encompassed in his music the myriad experiences and influences of growing up in his native Brooklyn, NYC. His versatility as a music creator can be seen in the wide range of music artists he has been associated with including Grammy award winning Living Colour vocalist Corey Glover, synthwave artist GOCCO & experimental electronic band Electric Powered Soul. Fall of 2021 will bring a solo $YNDRM album release entitled Facade. Howard is a graduate of the Brooklyn College Sonic Arts M.F.A. program.
