For the past few months, artists Alberto Aguilar and Alex Bradley Cohen have made playful, intuitive art in, on, and around our space. This is their last month in residency here, and we will be holding a closing reception at the end of May to celebrate their hard work and play and the art that has come out of it!
For their first two exhibitions, “This” and “That”__, Alberto and Alex experimented with ideas of play and rest, through collaborative painting, drawing, and performance. “This” and “That”__ will still be on view for their last exhibition, where they will attempt to bring closure to “Everything” they began at the start of their residency. The exhibition is suitably titled “Everything,” and it will take place at Compound Yellow on Saturday, May 29th from 5-9 PM.
