Delve into the history of the most famous event in Chicago history: the World’s Colombian Exposition of 1893. 27 million visitors attended the World’s Fair in 1893, catapulting Chicago from regional commercial hub to global metropolis. This virtual tour explores why the Fair happened, what it looked like, what visitors saw in the grand exhibition halls, the food and drink they enjoyed, and that wonder of its age, the original Ferris Wheel.
