In conjunction with our upcoming Artist Run Chicago 2.0 exhibition, join us for a virtual talk with the Alma Weiser of Heaven Gallery, John H. Guevara of Chuquimarca, Laura Shaeffer of Compound Yellow, Eric May of Roots and Culture and Tracie Hall of Rootwork for a discussion about the early beginnings and evolution of creating and running an artist run space, sustainability, and the obstacles and rewards of being an artist run space. We will also be touching base on how COVID-19 will ultimately impact their work as cultural practitioners, and the financial and emotional impact the pandemic is having in reference to the art world.
