30th Annual ONION CITY EXPERIMENTAL FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL
LAND MINE
Sunday, 3/15 – 5pm
An astute example of experimental documentary, Land Mine swiftly and didactically takes on the dense and complicated history of Israeli-Palestinian border conflicts through the microcosmic perspective of filmmaker Tirtza Even’s childhood apartment building in Jerusalem, and the tenants currently living there. Land Mine is preceded by Mike Stoltz’s Something To Touch That Is Not Corruption Or Ashes Or Dust, further complicating the concept of borders and boundaries as at once physical, mental, and political obstructions.
Something To Touch That Is Not Corruption Or Ashes Or Dust (United States, 2020, 6:30 mins) Mike Stoltz
Land Mine (Israel/Palestine, United States, 2019, 86:00 mins) Tirtza Even
