Intersectional History
February 13 – 23, 2020
Opening Reception: Friday, February 14 | 5–7 p.m.

Intersectional History is asking creators to challenge dominant narratives of history through multi-generational, visual story-telling. How do people grow in their lifetime to find intersectionality and a multi-faceted nature in individuals along with the whole of society?

WCA’s Intersectional History exhibition explores the ideas surrounding the experience of intersectionality through works and ask how identity has changed or remained. As ideas are brought into the zeitgeist they then acknowledge and normalize the complex fabric of human culture.
