We’re excited to kick off the new decade with you at PO Box Collective (6900 N Glenwood Ave) for our first Tortas of the new year! Join us at 7:30 pm on Friday, January 31st.
Tortas y Talento is a multicultural open mic dedicated to showcasing the talents of people of color in our community. Please feel free to share poetry, dance, music, writings, performances, karaoke, etc. This is a kid-friendly, family-friendly space.
Bring your own booze (BYOB), your friends, your parents, your kids, your compadres for an evening showcase. This event is totally FREE but donations to the artists are welcome if you are able. The space will be accepting donations and has a cash bar, in case you’d like to support and purchase some drinks.
P.O. Box is a social practice and creative engagement center in Rogers Park with a mission of radical art and community programming.
We will also have visual artists selling work that evening. DM Mariela and Fabrizzio if you are interested in vending.
