Awakenings is proud to announce our spring exhibit: A Stirring. This exhibit explores the internal landscape of a survivor- visiting the internal spaces where anger, pain, myth, truth, joy, and renewal all coexist. Through photography, paint, film, and mixed media, the artists featured in this exhibit take us on a journey through each of the emotions that stir after experiencing trauma. By breaking their silence through visual expression, they show us how the internal landscape of a survivor is constantly shifting- moving and changing like the plates of the earth. In sharing, something begins to move. Something is unearthed. Something begins to heal.
