After Dark: Noche de Cine
@ National Museum of Mexican Art
1852 W 19th St, Chicago, IL 60608
Opening Thursday, December 5th, from 5PM - 8PM
Join us at the Museum as our galleries stay open late for guests to explore! It’s a great time to see our Day of the Dead exhibition before it closes on Sunday, December 8. Día de Muertos • A Matter of Life includes a beautiful variety of altars and highlights Mexico’s Black Towns in the Costa Chica, where the holiday is celebrated in unique ways.
This month’s After Dark theme is Noche de Cine and we’re presenting Nosotros Los Pobres for your viewing pleasure. Starring popular Mexican actor, Pedro Infante, Nosotros Los Pobres tells the story of a carpenter whose entire family must work together to clear his name after he is charged with a murder.
Please note that the film will be presented in Spanish and will start at 5:30 pm.
