Slow-Res: a Free and Self-Taught MFA Community

@ Read/Write Library Chicago

914 N. California, Walton Entrance, Chicago, IL 60622

Opening Sunday, November 3rd, from 3PM - 5PM

On view through Sunday, December 22nd

Did you finish college and think, “I really should’ve been an English major?” Or, did you not get the chance to go to college, and wish that you could experience a community of people eager to learn together? Do you fantasize about being accepted into a full-time funded MFA so you can quit your job and just read and write all the time? Come join your fellow literary dreamers in a new group at the Read/Write Library! We’ll meet weekly to enjoy community and the satisfaction of self-education. Craft your own reading and writing plan and share it with like-minded individuals who are working towards similar goals. See you there!

Facilitated by Wednesday Quansah, this program is what you make of it. Bring your hopes, your dreams, a notebook or two, and your own ideas for how to build a supportive, creative, accountable space together.

Read/Write Library is wheelchair accessible and all restrooms are gender-neutral. For additional questions, please email info@readwritelibrary.org
