Join us on Saturday, November 16th at 1pm for a discussion between artist Brendan Fernandes and Chicago-based Curator Maite Borjabad López-Pastor, exploring the themes and subjects that comprise the works in Fernandes’ second exhibition at moniquemeloche, Restrain (open through December 21).
This event is FREE and open to the public.
Brendan Fernandes is a internationally recognized Canadian artist working at the intersection of dance and visual arts. Currently based out of Chicago, his projects address issues of race, queer culture, migration, protest and other forms of collective movement.
Maite Borjabad López-Pastor is a Spanish architect and currently Curator with the Architecture and Design Department at the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work revolves around diverse forms of critical spatial practices, operating across the disciplines of architecture, art and performance.
