During the month of November, take part in our series of programs that dive deeper into the world of Andy Warhol. First up, a Field Trip to the Museum of Contemporary Photography for an exclusive look at Polaroids taken by Warhol, normally stored in the MoCP’s vault.
This “behind-the-scenes” look offers guests an opportunity to peer beyond Warhol’s final screenprints and paintings. An MoCP Curatorial Assistant will lead a discussion on Warhol’s approaches to photography, viewing some of the 160 works by Warhol in the MoCP’s permanent collection, and specifically focusing on images of Cindy Pritzker used for the portrait painting on display at Cindy’s Rooftop.
After, we’ll walk back to Cindy’s Rooftop and view the original Warhol portrait of the restaurant’s namesake, while enjoying our limited release Warhol-inspired cocktail, “The Story of Moondog.”
