Whether you are a filmmaker or a film buff, the MWSFF is a great opportunity to see the storytelling talents of the independent film industry. Come enjoy the summer-long event in the Roxy Theater, a newly restored art deco venue in the heart of Lockport, Ilinois’ historic downtown.
Films will cover 5 genres –
July 11 – Drama
July 25 – Comedy
August 8 – Horror
September 12 – Sci-fi (animated entries will be shown this night)
August 22 – Documentary
October 5 – Best of Fest (winning films from previous dates/genres shown this night)
Films are limited to a length of 30 minutes. Between films, there will be an opportunity to discuss the work with the filmmakers themselves. Each genre will have a single “Best of Category” as voted on by those in attendance.
Drinks (including alcoholic beverages) will be available for purchase in the bar/restaurant area of the venue. Be sure to stop at one of the local restaurants after the show for a bite to eat. (Restaurants are within walking distance of the theater.)
