Chicago Textile Week presents its inaugural exhibition at The Fields, the former Marshall Fields warehouse and Olson Rug Factory. The reception includes a variety of fiber-based work by Chicago artists Michelle Weiner, Hope Wang, Ani Afshar, Danielle Andress, and Melissa Leandro.
Chicago Textile Week is a new venture devoted to exploring and celebrating all things textiles in the Chicagoland area. The purpose is to highlight the vast and innovative work happening in textiles spanning interiors, architecture, fine arts, craft and fashion. Discover artists, workshops, galleries, lectures, local businesses and schools via programs specially designed for Chicago Textile Week.
Chicago Textile week is organized and curated by Kathleen Neary.
The exhibition will run from Sept 22 – 28, 2019.
