In Progress: Wet, Wasted Afternoon is a presentation of an environment constantly in flux. By tapping into histories of painting and image-making, Gallucci combines objects and structures that question our ideas of public/private space, utility, adornment and the performance of the self. Over the course of the week, Gallucci will utilize the Logan Center Gallery to create, rearrange and refine this installation, culminating in an intimate reception on Friday, July 19th from 6-9pm.
Madeline Gallucci is a current MFA student at the University of Chicago.
