Tim Stiles with Chinchano Trio: Words as Theft
@ Fulton Street Collective
1821 W Hubbard St, Chicago, IL 60622
Opening Sunday, June 2nd, from 8PM - 11PM
The Fulton Street Collective is proud to present San Francisco-based poet Tim Stiles presenting new works, to be read live along with original music by frequent collaborator, Stu Mindeman. Stiles has been published extensively, and performs readings frequently in Los Angeles and Bay Area literary scenes.
The reading will be followed by a set from Juan Pastor’s Chinchano Trio. There will also be an installation and live painting from visual artist Arthur Wright.
“Tim Stiles is a poet of tremendous ability. His voice can be powerfully direct, yet restrained as he depicts the brutal subtleties of the often tragic and complex characters that populate his formidable body of work” -Jervey Tervalon
