ASMP Chicago/Midwest, Panoramic Images, and The Chicago Apple User Group join photographer Robert Erving Potter III (REP3) for an artist talk about his photography practice on June 5, 2019 from 6-8pm at Panoramic Images.

Ideas about what’s your best camera?
REP3’s “view from the cliff” series made from a year long study of Lake Michigan.
A dialog with Director at Panoramic Images Doug Segal to explore the process of saving the Historical nitrate Circuit negatives and insight into printing 8×30′ images for the DC History Center.
REP3 attended the Culver Military Academy, Interlochen Arts Academy, and Valparaiso University where he was mentored by Alfred Eisenstaedt and learned the power of visual storytelling. Paired with his energy, learned through improvisation when working at the Second City, REP3 specializes in photographing the creative process. With insight and passion, his work is about people and their creative endeavors.
He has worked with luminaries including Steven Colbert, Jeff Garlin, Claire Bataille, James Belushi, John Malkovich, Wil Clinger, Chris Farley, Bonnie Hunt, Isabella Hoffman, Robert Bly and Prime Minister Wilson. His corporate clients include the Lookingglass Theatre, Donner & Company LLC, Piccolo Theatre, The Second City and Goodman Theater, 3Com, Texas Instruments, Warner Brothers, CBS, Paramount Productions, Kodak and Polaroid. REP3 images have appeared in Chicago Magazine, People, Esquire, Elle, First For Women, and San Actuel.
REP3 is the director of the Potter School of Photography, REP3.com (photographic image creation and manipulation), and P-SOP.com.
