To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Chicago Zine Fest, we’re adding an official third day of events this year! Join us on the campus of DePaul University in Lincoln Park for TWO special events on Thursday, May 16 as we kick off #CZF2019.

We’ll be visiting the extensive zine collection and the Voices of Protest/Voces de Protesta exhibit at DePaul University Special Collections and Archives.

Zinemakers and activists, including keynote panelist Anthony Rayson of South Chicago ABC Zine Distro, Casey Goonan of True Leap Press, Daisy Yessenia Zamora Centeno of Brown and Proud Press, Jonathan Valelly of Broken Pencil Magazine, LizMarie Palomo of XicX Zine Collective, and Vicki White of Chicago Books to Women in Prison, discuss how zines are being used as powerful tools for social justice work. Moderated by Derek Potts of DePaul University Special Collections and Archives.
