@ DePaul Art Museum
935 W Fullerton Ave., Chicago, IL 60614
Opening Thursday, May 23rd, from 6PM - 7PM
On view through Sunday, August 11th
Presented in partnership with the Stockyard Institute, this conversation poses the question: How might contemporary creative practices create conditions that promote a more democratic society? Artists Maria Gaspar and Eric J. Garcia, DePaul Associate Professor Horace Hall, and DPAM Director and Chief Curator Julie Rodrigues Widholm will present from their recent cultural works and projects. Moderator Rachel Harper will invite the audience to take part in a public conversation about issues of social imagination, education, creative resistance, and the struggle to pursue social priorities that are of the people, by the people, and for the people.
