The PMA cordially invites you to the grand opening of the exhibition of the Poznań Academy of Fine Arts, on May 11th at 7:00 pm at the PMA Great Hall, 984 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago.
The exhibition is organized by selected artists working at the Department of Painting and Drawing, including: Dariusz Subocz, Joanna Marcinkowska, Tomasz Kalitko, and Marcin Lorenc. It presents various creative and academic approaches.
The Academy of Fine Arts, having undergone numerous changes, was led by many rectors, including: Stanisław Teisseyre, Jarosław Kozłowski, and Wojciech Hore. The school gained its specific character, and produced many outstanding artists and educators among them: Jerzy Schmidt, Lucjan Mianowski, Stanislaw Zamecznik, Waldemar Swierzy, Zbigniew Makowski, and Magdalena Abakanowicz.
