slit – silt features performative systems made from detritus collected along the shores of the rivers East and Hudson during the winter months of 2018, produced during the winter months of 2019, and prepared for Ground Level Platform.

Leander received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015. Since he has held residencies at The Chicago Artist Coalition, Rose Raft, Car Pool, Salem Art Works, Amorphic Robot Works, and the Socrates Sculpture Park. He is the founder and prior director of Fat City Arts and has exhibited works at venues that include Chicago’s Mana Contemporary, Christies Auction House, The Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, Kruger Gallery, the Chicago Artist Coalition, Re-Art Space, Stuart & Co Gallery, and the Socrates Sculpture Park.

Systems will be turned on and performed on Friday March 22nd
from 6pm to 10pm and Saturday March 23rd from 12pm to 4pm.
