Doug Rosman: Fractured: Digital Topographies
@ LITHIUM
1932 S Halsted, Suite 200, Chicago, IL 60608
Opening Saturday, February 23rd, from 3PM - 5PM
On view through Thursday, March 7th
Join us for an afternoon with artist Doug Rosman (MFA 2019) at LITHIUM. Doug will be giving a talk about machine learning and his practice, which deals with how we understand and create meaning—specifically around notions of the self—in a reality increasingly mediated by digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence that act with a certain level of agency. After his talk, Doug will be conducting a workshop where a few participants will be able to record their movements as data, in order have their own image generated by these speculative systems that Doug creates. The talk will begin at 3 pm at LITHIUM, 1932 S Halsted, Suite 200. This event is free and open to the public.
This event is part of the programming of Fractured: Digital Topographies, an exhibition curated by MA students in Arts Administration at SAIC.
