Odes & Tattoos Hands-On Workshop

In Odes and Tattoos, student artists have studied, explored and rendered visually the ode as a poetic commemorative device, and tattoos as visual markers of personal events and histories.
On December 1, CAPE Teaching Artist Jose Luis Benavides will lead a hands-on workshop inspired by the collaboration with the students at North Grand High School in making the Tattoo project. This participatory event will engage audiences in the history of tattoos and exploration of symbol systems to create their own tattoo designs.
