Meet Matt Bergstrom, community resident, artist and the creator of “Lost Houses of Lyndale Street.” The two blocks of Lyndale between California and Kedzie in Chicago have lost many older buildings to redevelopment in the past few years. Matt makes drawings and models of the houses that once stood there using materials salvaged during their tear-down. Rediscover the story of these humble homes and hear tales of the long-gone neighbors who once lived there. An exhibition of Matt’s work will also be on display in Logan Square Library’s lobby during November and December.
