Broadside Workshop

Opening Saturday, August 25th, from 2PM - 4PM
Learn how to design and create your own poetry broadside in any one of these workshops that explore the intersection between the written word and visual art.
Participants will also learn how to print on a Risograph machine with the option to print 20 copies of what they create.
Unfamiliar with broadsides? That’s okay: think of them as concert posters and your poem is the band everybody wants to see!
No design experience required, as CHI PRC Literary Coordinator Liz O’Connell-Thompson will walk you through the process and show you how to use free online design resources. Each workshop is a standalone event, so you only need to come to one unless you get bitten by the broadside bug.
Limited space! Pre-registration encouraged.

Suggested materials:
– a piece no longer than 30 lines (shorter is better)
– a laptop if possible
