The National Museum of Mexican Art and Cineteca Nacional proudly present the free screening of: Calabacitas tiernas (¡Ay qué bonitas piernas!) on Sunday, July 29th at 1:30 pm. Join us as we continue this series of México’s golden age of cinema. Bring a film aficionado, a family member, or a friend that you would like to introduce to this iconic Tin Tan film directed by Gilberto Martínez Solares. This event is free and seating will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Film will be screened in Spanish with English subtitles. This screening is free, however registration is required
Synopsis:
In this movie “Tin Tan” plays a broke man, that is harassed by his creditors, so he comes up with a plan to put an international musical show with four beautiful women, matters get complicated when the four women want the leading role in the show, besides, the quartet falls in love with him.
Sinopsis:
Accidentalmente, Tin Tan se relaciona con un empresario arruinado que lo hace pasar por sí mismo para evitar dar la cara ante sus acreedores. En su nueva personalidad, monta un espectáculo musical con una galería internacional de bellezas femeninas que pelean por su amor y por el crédito principal del espectáculo, el cual ha sido financiado con dinero inexistente. En la primera de sus más de treinta colaboraciones, la excéntrica comicidad de Tin Tan encontró en Martínez Solares al director ideal para dar rienda suelta a su inventiva.
