Silence is a Sound: imagining collective self-reliance in relationship to the future
Together, we will explore various meanings of collective self-reliance and imagine new representations through discussion, while documenting our experiences. However we imagine systems in terms of value exchanges, narratives emerge from these interactions. In thinking about pace, compression, and perception of time and how it impacts the order of our lives, we will gesture toward more non-linear forms of expressing our experiences of order. From these different ways of thinking about time, collaboration, and our relationships to things we think we already know, we will create representations through drawing, sketching and marking as a means to express.
Special thanks to Penny Duff, Jen Tremblay and Alisa Reith for helping to shape this workshop and Laura Shaffer at Compound Yellow for hosting.
